KO2 vs ST maxx

Either or in size 285/70/17. Ill be in the market for new tires next week. I am deciding between these 2. I was thinking about the Toyo AT2's as well, but I wanted an aggressive looking A/T. Since ill be shelling out the money for a new set, trying to get as much feedback as possible.

Truck is my DD and will be used for light trails, and occasional snow.

 

I have the ST Maxx and have been very happy with them. I think you can't go wrong with either.

 

^Agreed, can't go wrong w/ either. I was debating between the same 2 wheels, albeit 275/70/17. I too was looking for an aggressive yet functional tire on trails and light snow. I opted for the KO2 and am happy with both the stance and functionality.

 

with the 275's did you do any trimming or cutting?

 

Yes, very minor. Maybe 3/4". However, I installed the wheels and tires prior to lifting.

 

I am in the same boat, leaning towards the KO2's over the ST Maxx since I can get the BFG's for around $597 in a 235/85/16 but I ve always had BFG's and I am tempted to go with the ST Maxx.

 

Think of the maxx as a HD ko2.

Wish they were available locally (relocated), going BFG this time around.

 

I'm in the same boat as you all. The rocky az mountains are killing my stock tires and I want something that has awesome
On road characteristics but like you all can handle the rough stuff. Could care less about how aggressive they look just how they perform.

 

I ended up with Cooper ATP's BTW, I never got to update this post. Not as bad ass looking, but perfect for my needs
