I recently became the owner of a 1999 Tacoma 4x4. It has those billet strut spacers in the front for the lift. The rear is lifted with an add a leaf. I wanted to get new coil overs for the front but maintain the same amount of lift. The guy I bought it from claimed it was a 4" lift but how can I be sure? Basically im asking how to figure out how much the truck is actually lifted and then what coil overs i need to buy to get that amount of lift. I don't want to touch the rear.

Hmm. That doesn't look quite like 4" to me. There are a couple popular 3" coilovers options, people usually start with Bilsteins or OME.
Here's an example of Bilsteins, and the average price you're gunna pay..

Also I recommend that you get a front differential drop installed along with the coilovers to help with the angles of your cv axles. Good luck!

that spacer is prolly providing 2 to 3 inches of lift. measure the spacer then multiply by 2. with the geometry of the suspension the size of the spacer is basically doubled lift wise. no one even makes one anywhere near 4 inches of lift. only way to achieve 4 inches and have a usable suspension and drivable truck would be to get a drop bracket lift... basically any coilover out there for our trucks will provide 2 to 3 inches. so just go with whatever brand you like. keep in mind if you go a full true 3 inches ya might wanna consider some upper control arms so you can get a good spot on alignment. that upper balljoint is maxed out at three inches. you can get away without them but itll be better with them, your choice on that front..
