Piece of advice for those that have ditched their inner fender liners and beat the piss out of your pinch welds. Make sure you SEAL THE FUCK out of your pinch welds. I put about an acre of RTV sealer on them when I did the beat down, but that was a few years back. And now we have a full on waterfall coming through the pinch welds and into my carpet/floorboards.

I just pounded my pinch weld last week. I'm gonna spend the money and try a tube of 3m body seam sealer from an auto body supply. It should seal it up.

 

thats what i used. 3/4 of a tube. Nothing leaking on the driver side. So im going to get another one and do more on the passenger side. Along with with the inside i guess to make sure.

 

That's all good - is he able to run that skid up that weekend?

 

So I guess I better just pound the shit out of mine and then add a barrel of sealant lol

 

They also make a 2 part seam sealer also but it's some nasty shit

 

i put a ton on. I guess i got the driver side right lol

At least I know where it's coming from now, that's a huge plus. Not sure what I'll use to try and seal it up...
