Interior LEDs in foot well, sub rings, map lights, dome light, self done window tint, "always on fogs" custom head unit, custom built sub box for access cabs.
There's a red wire. Can't remember the exact PIN number on the bottom harness. Turn your ignition to on, but don't crank, apply emergency brake, shift into reverse, make sure reverse bulbs are lit, then pull that plug and test that red wire with a voltmeter it should read active then put the vehicle in park it should read 0 volts. If that happens you found the correct reverse signal wire. I believe it is the red wire on the bottom plug on the bottom row left side of the plug if you're looking at the plug while it's plugged in.

That is the exact same setup I bought. Put the Pioneer in last weekend and putting the camera in today. I believe I found good place under the bumper using L brackets instead of the license plate.
Install of the head unit was one hour.

As mentioned it was pretty darn easy. You can Google it: there's a few videos out there. The harness was straightforward - prep it ahead of time and add the parking brake bypass to it at this stage.

Where are you guys running the wires from the camera? Also, where are you tapping off power to the camera?

There is a rubber grommet under the left side of the drivers seat. I used that as an exit to the outside and ran inside the frame to the back of the truck.
I used splicing tape to seal the grommet.
As for the camera power I tapped into the reverse light. There is a ground connection behind the housing that I used.

What dash kit do you have, because I wanted to buy one so the radio was flat with the surface.

I did this. Pic below is that grommet. It's easier if you tape the wires to a philips screwdriver, rub a little liquid soap on it and work it through.

Here is mine installed. I gave up on the under the bumper install for now.
made two brackets above the license plate screws.

finished, the cable made it from the radio to the camera with about a foot of slack.

    And it works great!

Perfect timing for me to find this! I have an 07 Access Cab and plan on installing the Kenwood DDX-9702S, and front and back cameras. Will do speakers/amp/sub? later (likely going with ********* recommendation on Image Dynamics speakers and likely Rockford PBR300X amp... cause 1) it gets great reviews, 2) its a good price, and 3) its starts with PBR... I mean.. yeah. :)

I was debating the fancy Kenwood CMOS-320 camera - which I can get for ~$190 with jet.com coupons... and get fancy angles and such. Maybe thats super overkill and the $30-50 cameras work well enough. I have a canopy and parallel parking this thing is a b!tch... (I live inner city-ish). How have ppl liked just the 'normal' cameras? Just want to make sure I really know where my corners are.

I do like the stock-look of this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...ue&ref_=ox_sc_act_title_3&smid=A1IHXV0MXX639U

Those with backup cameras... what viewing angle do you have and would you want more/less? Above someone pointed to an Esky with 180deg... I think I'd want something pretty wide so I can see the corners. With Esky you seem to be able to get pretty much whatever you want.

Also - anyone running dual cameras on an DDX9702S? I want to do this but it doesnt have dual inputs (the new 9703S will) - so I guess people run it on the aux video input and bypass the 'park' sensor. Installers all seem to say its possible, tho on the Pioneer (my other choices are AVH-4100NEX or AppRadio4) they say it actually has motion sensor.

Have been tempted by the Clarion CC510 camera - can get for ~$60 and it gets great reviews... tho only 150deg view angle.

I have the 9702S with the Esky EC135-05 camera and I love it. The Infrared LEDs are leaps and bounds better than the white LED options most people get. It's a 135 degree view, but I have yet to have an issue with how it's mounted (License plate) and my viewing. Just took a little remembering of how far each colored line represented!

^^^ That one is actually made 15min from me. I got one of the esky ones based on esky tech support recommendation... the EC170-25. I'll hook it up this weekend and if I dont like it I'll likely get ^^^. I dont have a great place to mount the one I got. I like that ^^^ will mount higher, and at a downward angle so should stay out of rain/spash a little more. Just didnt feel like dealing with the more involved install.
