I'm looking at getting some King shocks front and rear for my truck along with some custom Alcan leaf springs. Wondering what would be the proper amount of additional lift in the rear with the new springs so my truck sits level. They can custom make the springs with whatever amount of rear lift is desired. My truck sits about 1" low in the front with the stock suspension. The King front coilover shocks out of the box will raise the front about 2 1/4". So now my truck will be 1 1/4" high in the front. If the custom leaf springs are made with an additional 1 1/4" of lift in the rear I'm thinking my truck would now sit level. I realize the frontcoilovers are adjustable, but they recommend not cranking them uppast 2 1/2".

I've done a lot of reading about suspension upgrades, but still unsure about the whole front to back lift height to get the truck level.

If your looking for a "level" look, I would recommend 1" of rake (back 1" higher than front). Pretty much how it sits now, only proportionally higher front, and back. From the factory, it's @ ~2" of rake (I'm assuming your rear springs are shot). That way your front end is still 1" higher than it used to be from stock, but still useable as a truck. I would verify that the spring measurements are the amount of lift gained from original stock height, and not from where it sits now (I'm assuming it is), as it sounds like your rears springs are squatting by around 1". Stock measurement is typically ~20" front, and ~22" rear

Before I had my 2" AAL, my truck measured dead even (~22") at all four corners, but when measured from the bottom of the cab (@ the frame), the front of the cab sat slightly higher than the rear of the cab. Always looked a little squatted in the back like that to me.
