I want to put a lightbar above the windshield on my 1999 extra cab Tacoma, but the only mounts i can find are upwards of $150.00. Any other brands or ways around this?

ha, i just moved from santa cruz area to colorado springs. regarding brackets or roof mounted bars, you get what you pay for. i have seen some of the cheaper brackets break when heavy offroading. and when it breaks, the lightbar leaves nice dents and scratches on your vehicle as well as a broken windshield. good metal is not cheap, nor is the design and building the brackets.
