Stupid question, but do you think Discount Tire will give me any trouble with installing a larger tire (265/75/16)? I have the appt set up already for next week, hopefully it's not an issue for them.

Edit: I just called the shop and they said "shouldn't be a problem". Hopefully true

If not, take it somewhere else. I got mine, called around and found walmart would mount and lifetime balance, disposal fees & service the TPMS sensors for less than $70 out the door. They didn't care at all about the size. Another local place quoted me $38 a tire.

Bought Cooper ATPs from Discount Tire on eBay. Spent 552, got a $70 rebate, and it included certificates. Local DT installed them for $40 after they bought my fairly new POS tires that came on the truck when I bought it 6 months ago. I love these tires so far.

I went from 245/75/16 to 265/75/16. Wasn't an issue and they never questioned me. My rep actually asked me a million questions about my truck. I rated him well on his survey. ;)

Thanks! They are spray painted with the duplicolor wheel coating. Painted almost 4 years ago and have not been touched up. They are holding up well!

Go for it! It's nearly a perfect match for the FJ center caps!

I don't have much experience with Coopers but I just installed the Michelin M/S 2 (265/70R17). My brother in law has the same exact truck as mine and he has the Cooper ATP's. They look better then the Michelins but I feel my truck rides better. The M/S 2s ride smooth as butter and much better then the Terra Grapplers I had previously. Based on my experiences I would choose a Michelin over a Cooper. I cannot tell any real difference between the 265/265 and the 265/70.

Thanks for the feedback. i went with the Coopers, I figured $365 for all 4 tires was difficult to pass up. I may go to Michelin's next go round but for now I'll see how these are.

I went with 265/75/16. Should change the look completely from my stock rugged trails. Looking forward to getting then installed next week! Yea the discount tire eBay deal was $535 -$100 instant promotion , plus a $70 rebate from Cooper on top of that. Pretty crazy. Not sure what they'll charge to install but I'm guessing no more than 60-70 bucks since i bought from them
