Are any of you guys with a 2nd Gen Reg Cab 4x4 running OME 883 coils? If so, how much lift did they give you??

I have them on an access cab. 1.5" even on 5100s at zero with a 1/4" spacer on the driver's side.

Not the best pictures, but it's all I have.

I got 2" on my AC from the 883Xs on OME struts...also running a 1/4 spacer on the drivers side.

mistermanny and amishmatt, good looking trucks! did either of you guys do anything to the rear? I'm going to install the 883s on the discontinued ome n140s (wheelers has an awesome sale on them) struts soon. I plan on getting my new factory leaf pack from the recall through the dealer, paired with the ome n182s (same sale on this discontinued model from wheelers). Was wondering if I should worry about a rear leaf trim packer for driver side lean. definitely going with the 1/4" front spacer like you guys above have done. is the rear leaf tsb still available for our 4 bangers?

I just had my leaf springs replaced under the recall two days ago. I took before and after measurements, and only gained 1/4" of "lift" over the old springs. Old were the three leaf pack (two plus overload), the recall pack is a four leaf (three plus overload). I was surprised, as I expected to pick up a little more height out of the new pack. Side to side it sits perfectly level, both front and rear. Front to back the rear sits about 3/4" higher.

The reason I was asking about 883s is because I have plans to get a RCD DB lift and want to add OME coils to it to get more lift while raising the crossmember. I have 884s on my truck now and they give about 2.75" of lift and 7.75" of lift may be a little much, but if the CVs stay at angles that are ok, I'll do it that way.

    TRKYKLR,
I haven't touched the rear in my 05.

I gained the same amount of lift running 884s as you did in my 06.
I installed Wheelers AALs, which raised the rear and provided an inch of rake.

This time around, I didn't want to change the rear of my 05...which is the reason I went with 883s.
I'm still running the original 3+1 leafs, and also have about an inch of rake.

The amount of lift from the 883s and 33s is plenty for a DD vehicle :)
