    Help.

We marked the front and back of the drive shaft and took it apart to replace the universial joints.

We took the drive shaft to a machine shop to have them put the U Joints in.

Unfortunately the markings rubbed off on the front. We put the drive shaft back in tonight and was not able to know the exact spot for the front end of the drive shaft.

    Here's the issue:

The car vibrates really bad when we start moving slowly but then the vibration goes away. We also hear like some metal are rubbing against each other sound but the sound disappeared later.

So is there a way to know how to put back the front exactly the way it was before we took it apart? Is there a marking inside or something?

Or how can we fix this issue. Please help!

    Many Thanks

I assume you took it off at the flange? there should be an outline of the flange where you took of the driveline that you can use to see if its lined up right. check to see if your center joint is centered correctly too.
