i think the short leg mounts that came with it look great on the hood. Maybe that wouldnt look good on all Tacomas but it looks awesome on yours for sure. I think that your truck pulls it off

Lol. You guys keep spinning me round and round with this. Ha. I guess it's one of those hate it/love it things.. I'm gonna try and find more of those antenna mounts. Can't freaking find the ones I bought before on eBay. Ugh. So that I don't have to drill. I gotta work on my 20" for now though. Its all shaky:/ Gotta reinforce the mounting. Will update when I get around to messing with the 12". If I can find those damned mounts that is.

Brackets are homemade. Bar is a 42" Vision X Evo Prime clone. Awesome friggin light bars btw. Love them. Not sure they're available anymore. Got it on eBay. Haven't seen any of the full length bars in quite some time. Saw a 49" in there. But no 42. They have some smaller versions still. But the evo prime was discontinued by vision x for their new line of bars. Which is called the "xpr". But the Clones are disappearing because of this I think. Clones of the xpr are just becoming available on eBay. But 33" or smaller so far I've seen. No full size yet. Vision x may still have a full size in their closeout section. But pricey. May as well buy the new version at their prices i think. Ha. I'll see if I can find a 42" clone for ya if you want. Or whatever size youre looking for. Kinda hard to find on eBay.. Let me know.

And for anyone that may still be following for the 12" xpr hood mount... Still haven't decided what to do. I got some antenna brackets in the mail. To clamp on the hood lip. But haven't messed with it. Was kinda thinking about making/getting made some custom brackets to use with the antenna mounts so I don't have to drill. But I still don't know if I wanna go that route.

Was thinking something like this might be a better option to try.

Ha. Well I'm not very good at explaining wiring. Its a pain. I've got a huge rats nest of wiring in my engine bay. Really, it's ridiculous. Lol. I gotta tear it all out some day and redo it all. Gonna make a waterproof box out of a poly case brand box I got. With some cable glands. Stuff all the relays and fuse block inside that. My relays have got water in them a few times and caused issues. Really would like one of those spods or whatever. Like what skygear sells. But they're pricey.. I already have the supplies to do mine. Wiring is such a hassle. Not too hard, but time consuming. I don't wanna do it. Ha. It will eventually be clean and professional..

Just some scrap pieces I got for free at a metal works shop. Cut into sections then welded by my bro. All I had was a hand held grinder to get them to shape. And a big cutting disc. Ha. Turned out pretty good though I thought, considering our lack of a cutting torch.

Well, look at it this way...if you come up behind a slowpoke on the highway, and he won't pull over or speed up, you can fire them all up, and melt the paint off his trunk lid! :D

Lol. I've done this once. But because he was fucking with me. Speeding up and slowing down next to me. He did this quite a few times. First when I tried to slow down. He matched. Then sped up. Matched me again. Did this a couple times. Then another car pulled into the highway and he wouldn't let me get over! I slammed my brakes, got behind him, and blasted him with all my lights for like a 1/4 mile. On hiss ass. Lmao. Pissed me the fuck off. He didn't seem to care. Asshole. Ha. But it was fun seeing his entire suburban lit up on the inside. I could see everything. I finally turned them back off as I was blinding a few oncoming cars. But it was just me and him on the other side. I just stayed behind him at that point until I had to turn. Probly wasmt the best thing to let road rage get the best of me, as it usually doesn't. But it was so dumb the way he was acting.
