What's the best price anyone has found on this mirror yet and has any one without a 2016 limited installed it and was it worth the price?

    Thanks

I didn't install that specific model, but I bought one with Homelink from the forum for $190 which works perfect. It only takes a couple minutes if you already have an auto dimming mirror. If you don't have the auto dimming mirror you will need to buy the wire harness and it's going to be a bit harder to install.

Is this the version that doesn't have the buttons that light up and you have to pull the excess wire back up? Does the original wire cover work or did you have to use the one it comes with it? It states wire comes though the stem so just trying to figure out what it looks like. Thanks

Yes, it's the model without the backlit buttons. It came with another wire cover, but I just used the one from the original mirror and pulled the excess wire into the overhead console which just pulls out.

I like the one on my wife's Rav better, buttons on the bottom and a bigger mirror because it doesn't have the plastic edge.

The frameless ones don't look like they plug into the OEM harness, otherwise they do look real nice.

I bought mine from Bob's mirrors. He's got a thread here somewhere. I paid $250. Totally worth it for me. I love it.

    Edit: Here's the thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...s-backlit-buttons-for-the-2016-tacoma.406296/

It's a HomeLink 4 mirror with blue backlit buttons and is exactly the same as the one in my wife's 2015 Sienna Limited Premium.

Here are a few pictures Bob sent me:

2015-2016 TOYOTA HOMELINK BLUE COMP BLUE BKLIT BUTTON 1.jpg 2015-2016 TOYOTA HOMELINK BLUE COMP BLUE BKLIT BUTTON 2.jpg 2015-2016 TOYOTA HOMELINK BLUE COMP BLUE BKLIT BUTTON 3.jpg

And one from my wife's Sienna:

She's got my Tacoma right now, so I don't have a pic of it to share. I'll post one when she gets home.

Thanks he is out of stock on this exact model. I love it and was hoping to get it but couldn't wait any longer. I found a really awesome deal late today on the 2016 limited version and pulled the plug. It wasn't much more expensive than Bob's version. Thanks for sending the pics.

The company asked me not to quote the price because of Gentex MAP policy; however if you PM me I will send you his contact info and company name and as long as he has it in stick which he currently does he will honor the price to whoever I send his way. Let me know.

I think it absolutely stinks that my 2012 sport came with Homelink but you have to buy the limited to get it now.

Different subject, but I wish someone manufactured a homelink mirror with a built-in recording dashcam. I personally couldnt care less for what direction Im headed, but recording something that might happen like an accident, and with GPS speed recording, Id install that in a heartbeat if the price was reasonable.

I got mine from camera source. Was sent there from who ever responded to my email from Bob's. Ask for Chris and he will hook you up. Had mine in two days. There are cheaper ways to go but I don't regret paying for it. a3c841b7582aba95e65df8f1eaf73408_7da80e61e54b0f6ffab9dbe49a61847e21e3b617.jpg

I ended up getting bobs for 249.

I don't even got home link 5 garage door openers or gates lol.

Yes it's nice new tech but i rather spend less for something that works the same

Just adds the $290 garage door opener. :spending:
The other features you had before remain. And yes, I added it. I plan on keeping the this Taco for 8-9 years so I decided go for it.

Perfect thanks for the feedback. I had to replace my garage door opener and the clicker universal remotes I have that were programmed to the community gates and the old opener are not compatible with the new genie opener. Frustrating. Not a cheep solution but better than having to keep track of two separate controllers.
