I have a 2004 taco with the 3.4 litre V6. This is going to sound like a stupid question but.......

which belts do i need to replace all three external belts on the engine? I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the intra-webs....

thank you for not yelling at me, in advance

What makes you think you need new belts? My last v6 tacoma ran for 300,000 miles on same belts.

Its most likely one of the tensioner pulleys, not the belt. Remove each belt one at a time, start truck and listen for squeak to go away to narrow down which pully it bad.

ive isolated the pulley. I sprayed some water on the A/C pulley and the squeak stopped. Thats why I was thinking it was a belt and not the pulley itself..... what do you think?

You can tighten the belts if they arent shot. That'll take care of your squeal.

As far as finding the right belts incase you wanna replace them just go to your favorite parts store and tell em what you need. That'll be youre easiest option there.

tightened the belt down to about 1/4" deflection.... still making noise. Guess it's time for a new belt

I know! I actually had a complete set sitting on the shelf ready for replacement. Never used them and not sure where they went. I think they got lost in the last move.
