Who has gotten their cab mount chop done locally, how long did it take, who did you use, cost, and how happy are you with the work?

looking for a secluded camping site that at most 2 mile hike and near DFW. , dont really want to do state park kind of camping because always with the quiet hours at 10pm and pissing off neighbors isnt fun. I wish to tell my kids stories and watch stars and stuff past that time. I don't need running water, but I do want to build a fire. Could really use some help finding somewhere as I want to make it memorable, Thank you. xpost

all i hear is lbj grasslands, and since it's a national forest, you don't have as many rules, and more freedom than compared to state parks.

Check out Solovaca Ranch just outside of Glen Rose. It's a private ranch with trails for Mountain Bikers and hikers. I know they used to allow camping but I have not been there in a bit. Owners name is Mac nice guy, I am sure he can point you in the right direction. Now it will be primitive camping Porta cans near the entrance to the ranch plan on packing in water and out your trash. But for the most part you can drive up and set up right out of your truck.
