I'm here to beat a dead horse.

About to buy new tires for my 3" lifted Tacoma.

I plan on going 285/70R17 or 285/65R18. Most likely white letters out, pending what I buy.

I'll be using my truck for 95% daily driving, 5% light off-roading.

Let me hear everyone's preferences on tires (speed ratings, mpgs, apperance, price, etc.) I want to see who can sway me.

What is your intended use? Without stating what you intend to use the tires for you will basically get a poll of what people bought themselves.

Cooper A/T3's all day. They are a very quiet and smooth tire with excellent wet and dry traction. I think the KO2's are overkill for your intended purposes, but out of that list they look the coolest. I had a set of Toyo AT2's on my blazer and they did not get the mileage I expected out of them. They were basically toast by 30k miles. I do not have any experience with the Nitto's.

KO2's look the best and are snow rated. Not bashing any other tires. Was tough justifying the $ difference vs the coopers.

That's how I was looking at it. I can save a lot of money on the Coopers, but I know very little about them.

They are a great tire. Cooper has a $70 mail in rebate going on right now as well.

Nice. What did you away with all together? The BFGs have my eyes, but I do love money.

Here's the best price I found on the Coopers: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/cart/showCart.do $536, plus an additional $70 Rebate and free shipping. Grand total is $466. I should jump on it because they're highly recommended (in general) on TW. They just don't have the sex factor that the BFGs have which I admit are overkill for my use.

$466 is an awesome deal. Buy 2 sets for what I paid for the BFG's.
