What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Got my CS-144 140 amp alternator installed and it works great.
All my lights inside and out are all brighter, so glad I did it.
Posted a few pictures in my build thread.

 

Made some new wheel well aprons, got a piece of shower line from Lowe's and used the old ones for patterns.

I threw mine out and wish I had traced them. Maybe I can find a PDF of the pattern on the interwebs somewhere.

 

I'm gonna do this tomorrow or Wednesday, I'll take a picture with some dimensions if you want, or if you pay shipping I'll mail you the old ones.

Thanks! This was duplicolor gunmetal gray from autozone, cost about $8 a can. It took a lot longer than I expected actually. About 4 hours total. I took the wheels off one at a time though. I cleaned the wheels first with zep fast 505 and scrubbed them pretty good then I dried it all off and used some alcohol to clean anything else left over. Used 3 coats and sprayed them on 10 minutes apart rotating the tire 90 degrees for each coat (probably wasn't necessary but wanted to make sure the angles were different so it was even). After it was done I let the wheel sit for an hour before putting it back on. I didn't sand them down either but I did sand the hub caps. Also polishing the lug nuts took forever lol. I think they came out looking pretty nice. Sorry for the long response

 

Right before I cleaned off my truck to go to the Post Office there was 7.5" of snow on the hood and some had melted its still snowing...good thing is its melting as its snowing so its not really accumulating any right now...maybe more tonight

 

Offhand anybody know the diameter of the Tundra brake bleeder valves? I was pretty sure it was 7mm but the speed bleeders I got from LowRange are 10mm and they are assuring me that the 00-06 Tundra bleed valves are 10mm.

 

was that today? Well we had bare ground and green grass growing...today its like spring isnt here...lol

 

Remind me later. I'll see if I still have my extra pack. From what I remember though they aren't 10 mm, I think they're 7. And don't forget the lock bleeder.

those work so you can leave the valve open and pump the brakes with one person instead of tightening and loosening the threads over and over? neat
