I'm wondering if an alignment will be necessary if I upgrade my stock steel wheels with 245/75/16's to stock TRD Sport wheels with 265/70/17 BFG A/T KO2's on them. Any thoughts?

    no.

Wheel changes do not necessitate an alignment.

Suspension changes of any kind do however. (whether it be a heavy front bumper which decreases ride height, lift etc)

    Great. Thanks for the info.

So with that in mind, if I take my tacoma in to a dealership to have the latest recall (rear leaf springs replacement) done, should I expect them to do an alignment? Would it be worth having it done if Toyota doesn't include this as part of the recall work?

    No on tires.

    Yes on suspension changes.
