    I'm looking at these sliders for my taco. I know a fair share of members Here are using them. Wondering how they are holding up to abuse?

    I got the hd sliders and love them. Be careful when choosing a coating. Rattle can will be easy to touch up but kind of a pain in the ass if your in a hurry. I've also found that if you wear nice shit to work you have to think about getting in and out otherwise you'll drag your pant leg on them.

    Has anyone banged them up on the trails? All I'm concerned about is the difference between the type of steel on the hd compared to the apex which uses DOM steel. The manufacturer claims that the design is identical but the apex has the better grade steel.

    I don't plan on slamming my rocker panels on boulders every trip but just want to know that the HD model will hold up to average rock crawling. The price difference for me is $300 CDN which I would rather spend elsewhere ..

    I guess my main concern would be that the HD slider could bend up easier and press against the bottom of the cab/door jamb. Is this even possible?

    Some of the things...
    image.jpg I notched my pinch weld on the rocker for clearance around each leg but there's no way they are going to fold up or anything crazy. With the truck jacked up in the middle of the slider it flexed maybe 1/4". My first trip out I used them to pivot around two trees and then layer the truck on the driver side on a rock shelf without a dent or anything. You gotta be tearing shit up pretty good to justify the upgraded version (like a dedicated toy that only sees rock duty)
