    Hi All-

I am new here. I just picked up a 2013 tacoma double-cab TRD about two weeks ago. I had it back to the dealer within the first week to take care of the whistling sound (hood seal), a rattling dash, and some warped rotors - all of which were supposed to be taken care of before delivery - but I digress...

In any case, the dealer fixed the rattling dash, but when they installed the radio they did it incorrectly, and the right side sticks out about 1/2". I cannot stand the dealer, and I don't want the hassle of driving there (nearly an hour) to have it resolved.

I checked youtube & it seems as if it is a pretty simple procedure - pop off heating/air conditioning control, and then 4 10mm bolts. Is it really that simple? I don't want to risk breaking something, then having to pay for a repair since this all started with a dealer screw-up.

Thanks in advance for the input!

yep really that simple. Use a broad flat blade like a putty knife to pop out the ac controls. remove the 4 bolts and your radio comes out

It's really that easy. Only "hard part" is popping the HVAC controls out and then pulling the head unit out after its unbolted. Just make sure it goes pops back in correctly, my head unit sticks out maybe a mm or 2 more on one side after I reinstalled it after adding an LOC. Haven't brought myself to pull it back apart since I did it last year lol.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Wrap your 1" putty knife with electrical tape, it will prevent scratching the AC control unit. And yes, easy job getting everything out.
