60k maintanence

    5100s. eibach coils. 285/75/16 km2s. leer cap
    was at the dealership not too long ago getting an oil change and they wanted to do the 60k maintenance. they also wanted to charge me 600$ to do so. im looking to do this by myself and was wondering what you guys thought i should do as far as work. also what you think i dont need to do. i did the 30k maintenance at the dealership and at the moment forget what that entailed. i have the opportunity to use my buddies garage and get the truck up on a lift tomorrow morning so looking to get some info on this today so i can run up to autozone and get the supplies needed. thanks guys!

    power steering fluid - automatic transmission fluid dexron II or III
    brake fluid - fmvss no. 116 dot 3 or sae j1703
    engine coolant - toyota super long life coolant (9.2qt)
    spark plugs - denso sk20hr-a11 (0.043 in)
    diff oils - toyota genuine diff gear oil LT 75w-85 gl-5 (font 1.59qt rear 3.12qt)
    transfer case oil - gear oil api gl-4 or gl-5 (1.1 qt)
    gear oil - gear oil api gl-4 or gl-5 (2.3qt)

    its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
    you can only get the 75w85 gl5 on EBAY and you will need to get 3 new crush washers for the diffs from the stealership ,reuse the the transfer case washers and the drain washer on the front diff its a copper one that I have reused many times. when I did mine I used 3 quarts of REDLINE 75w85 gl5 and about a .12 of 75w90 gl5 in the rear diff, plus I used Walmart Super Tech 75w90 Semi synthetic in the Transfer and front diff. 3 quarts of the REDLINE 75w85 will run you $52 on FLEABAY

    also the spark plugs should be 100k miles so don't change them

    Yes on the 2TR-FE 2.7, spark plugs are good for 100k. Those Densos are the ones I used and they are good plugs. Replace plugs on a cold engine ONLY, use a tiny bit of anti-seize compound on the 3rd-5th threads from the electrode, and DO NOT over torque the plugs.

    Coolant is good for the first 100k from the factory, then serviced every 50k after. Neither needs to be done at this point. I would recommend using genuine Toyota SLLC but others have used the "asian import" long life coolant versions, without issues.

    You can refresh the power steering fluid if you want, it's not a bad idea. At 80k I sucked out my power steering reservoir with an old turkey baster and refilled with fresh fluid, a couple times. I like to keep things fresh enough for my comfort. But power steering is a sealed system, and the fluid flush is not a normal service item... I'm pretty sure a flush should not be needed at only 60k.

    Brake fluid should be flushed every 2 years and this is very easy to do with a buddy -- I used Valvoline DOT 4 synthetic brake fluid, about $8 per quart.

    Gear oils are not my specialty, but I always use synthetics in the correct weight and add friction modifier where needed.
