What a great site - I had no idea it existed till just the other day. You guys post some terrific stuff here.

I just bought a 2016 Tacoma 4WD - and have been driving them for years now (40+) - the last one a 2009 4WD. This 2016 (and it's my own fault) has me miffed. Just tried, at the grocery store, to open my wife's passenger door - there was no key entry in the door. I also expected to get back seats (it's an Access Cab) and they don't come with it. What is going on with Toyota - maybe maintain their profits by stiffing me - that's all I can envision. And my 2009 had a hidden "up under" spin-on oil filter (kinda hard to access but I shut up and did it) - not this 2016, which is (from this site in a super write-ups) hidden up under the skid plate and a paper element replacement. I'll just bite the bullet on that and buy all the stuff you guys recommended.

I have a Sno-Sport plow (from the 2009) so I have to pull the skid plate to mount a Curt front hitch. The 12mm bolts in it are not "right on 12mm" - unless my S&K socket was made out-of-spec. It measures about 0.008 inch over 0.472 in. (12mm) so I'll look for another one.

I can't stand myself - I'm complaining so much on this one - and I hope you guys understand. I'm an old Toyota guy - buying them about 40+ years now and still love the quality. In my family we have a total, right now, of 8 Toyota's. I hope this one keeps going, as I've maybe killed my warranty with what I'm gonna do to mount my plow. Thanks for reading if you've made it this far. I promise to be much nicer next time - if you don't kill me over this post.

it seems toyota is trying to keep up with the joneses, on a five dollar budget , with a few changes to the body and a motor and tranny taken from the highlander it was minimal cost to them. yes its a toyota and it will get worked out eventually, i sure as hell wouldnt be buying one for a cpl years till the bugs are gone. im def getting in the 4runner line before they cheap that out,
