Sliders with Kickouts

I understand what sliders do. But what do Kickouts do?

 

something to stand on? lol

I don't really know either

 

"pivot point" for rocks and trees on the trail

 

Push you off of obstacles. Like rocks or trees that just rubbed down the slider.

Had the driver eased off the throttle and finessed it a bit more around the corner/rock, the kickout may have pushed the rear away from the rock and created enough distance for the rear end to clear the rock without causing the "rock rash."

Looks to me like with the hard passenger he apparently had to steer some wheel damage was pretty much inevitable. There was no place to driver for the rear to slide especially since the rash occurred on the downhill/rut side.

 

They let my short ass get up and reach the gear on the roof rack on my shell. At least they will when my sliders get here...
