I own a 2009 Toyota Tacoma double cab long bend 4x4. I've been doing a lot of research on what wheel would fit my truck and on Sunday I bought these. I'm aware that my truck is not suppose to fit a 10 inch wide wheel but I plan on doing the modifications to make them work. Cab mount chop and other trimming. The wheels are 16x10 with a 6x5.5 bolt pattern. -25 offset. They have a 4 1/2 (4.5) inch backspace, which is suppose to work for my truck.(or so I thought) However I test fit one and it's a no go! The back of the wheel is hitting the caliper. I'm so frustrated with this! From everything I've read I thought these would fit. What am I missing? All I'm looking for is a wide base polished wheel to fit my truck to give it a wider more aggressive stance. Please help!

Not every 16" rim will fit because of the big brake calipers that are on the Tacoma. You could try bumping up to 17" wheels if you're set on a 10" wide wheel.

If you wheel at all that 10" wide wheel will get chewed up. I'd look into a narrower wheel at 17" with the 4.5" backspace and allow wider tires to give you the look you're after. Otherwise see what the other guys running 16" aftermarket wheels are using and go from there

I don't see how going to a 17 would help. If your looking at the caliper as if you just took the wheel off the truck, the area that's is hitting the wheel is the side of the caliper that is facing you. They're Hitting the back of the wheel. The caliper ends are not scrapping the inner drum of the wheel

I'm also not a fan of anything much bigger than a 16.

The most off roading it is ever going to see is going down an old gravel road or oil well road. Maybe the occasional field or two. I've learned my lesson off roading my daily driver. My truck will mainly be a mall crawler

so if I'm understanding correctly the inside of the spokes is hitting against the brakes? the only way to fix that without getting a different wheel is some sort of spacer.

:facepalm:I have learned my lesson. I thought with the 4.5 backspace I would be fine. But I was wrong. We all learn at some point. I learned the hard way on this one
