Been driving my 2013 TRD Off Road a couple weeks... I have a strange issue with the brake pedal.

Seems like every few times pressing the brake pedal, I can feel a slight pulse in the pedal, and at the same time I can hear an electric motor kick on for a second or two. I assume this has to do with the electric booster system the truck uses.

Does this happen on all Tacomas with the electronic booster? Any fix for this? Brakes work fine but it's pretty annoying.

    Welcome to TW!

Yes, it's normal. Fix would be to get a TRD Sport, SR5 or Limited...so not really a "fix" :). I just got used to it, FWIW.

    you get used to it.

Just be thankful you have the electric boosted master cylinder.... brake pedal feel is SO MUCH better than the shit vacuum assisted setup on any other models. Also you get the benefit of 2x the line pressures over non trd OR 4x4 models, as well as atrac and a much more aggressive simulated lsd.
