In mentioning the Fit I've had several members say they own and love theirs. Fit forums all suck and the people on TW are a unique bunch so I just wanted to open up a thread to all generation Honda Fit owners for discussion and mods, etc. cheers all. Will post Fit photos later.

18% above EPA for first tank. Looking to get 40mpg consistently once it's broken in.

A few short trips around town. These things aren't completely accurate but my highest trip in town was 51mpg so far.

First thing to go will be those awful wheels and tires. In place will be some subtle but lightweight wheels and some Michelins.

Lots of plans for it after that, but nothing as pressing. Just a hitch a floor mats for my drive out to Cali.

I had a 2015 EX. Bought it brand new last summer but has since been sold. I spent a lot of time on FitFreak researching it before I bought it. I had some problems with it, nothing major, just a few glitches with the lane watch and reverse camera (this is why you don't buy a new first year redesigned model). I paid under 20K OTL for an EX that had paddle shifters, reverse camera with lanewatch (when it worked), alloy wheels, and a sunroof. If you live in a city or want an all around good commuter/daily get one. Just make sure you get a 2016 that was built in Japan and not Mexico.

My understanding is the 16s will be built in both plants. So you're not guaranteed a Japan model ha but that is my only worry about mine. Made in Mexico.

Huh, there really is a thread for everything on here....

My Fiance' has a Fit. great little car, even in the more base level trim packages. replaced a burnt up AC switch last month, but other than that, it's been repair free since it was new (2010 I believe).

she doesn't believe me when I tell her that she'll come out to it one day and it'll have a nice set of wheel/tires, and some rally suspension :drevil:

oh, and it's powder blue...... so I get lots of weird looks in our rural area when I drive it around.

I'd love to rally a Fit! ha I was talking with Dustin who sells the Konig Wheels on TW and he has some pretty nice wheels on his Fit and his wife's Prius. I'm going to swing by his place in a couple months and see what he has for me.

There are currently 27 members online on FitFreaks.net so I figured it'd be just the same to start a thread here . . . ha

    Just in case it helps someone considering buying;

I should have gotten an LX with fog lights rather than an EX (6 speed manual for me).

The Fogs are the only feature that I think is worth it in retrospect.

The Screen is garbage ha, the moonroof and push start/keyless entry aren't needed at all and I actually HATE the push start for the fact that I can turn the key back to ACC when I want to, etc.

Oh, I'll just go through the features one by one. ha

These are what the EX has over the LX:
-Moon roof - luxury but not needed or missed without.
-16" Alloys - I upgrade all wheels anyway.
-Lane Watch - don't really use it or the backup camera ever. Convenient once in a while for sure. Not needed.
-7" Display Screen - let's be real. The only thing that sucks on these cars is the touch screen and no knobs.
-Text Function - I Never use it. Ever.
-Push Button Start - more automation means less control. I hate having to cycle the car off and back on to turn to ACC and I can't kill the engine when coasting. Really regret this one. A lot.
-Smart Entry - Convenient, wouldn't be missed without it. Also a bad thing in any scenario with bad folks. Again, more automation means less control.
-FOG LIGHTS - practically a necessity where I'm from. Would buy these or aftermarket as an option on the LX for sure.
-Honda Link - Who cares? Don't use it.

These are just my personal thoughts and experiences in retrospect after some time with my EX and I wanted to share for those weighing pros and cons and deciding to buy. Of course others personal opinions and experiences will vary.

Nice. I'm about to move from South Dakota to California in mine. It's my first car/non-truck. We'll see how it handles the mountains and interstates fully loaded.

Cool idea for a thread Chaz. I didn't figure that there would be a lot of Fit owners on TacomaWorld. :) Glad you like the wheels from my Fit and my wife's Prius. It would be cool to help you out with a set of wheels for your Fit after helping you find a set for your truck.

I've had my Fit since '08. One of the best cars I've ever owned. It's hard to describe how fun to drive and how utilitarian these cars are. There are some instances when it just isn't practical to drive a truck, and I've found that the Fit is a really good substitute for those occasions.

After over 10,900 miles in just over 6 months I'm averaging 37 mpg, have taken it off road, jumped it, and scratched it up through several national parks (and CA parking lots). Has treated me great so far. First oil change wasn't until 8,585 miles so it'll be nice to save money on oil as well as gas.

My only complaint is still that final gear ratio and the difference between 5th and 6th being basically nothing. I actually shift from 4 to 6 and back and never use 5.

Also having some issues with my drive side window as of this week, having some rubbing or something rolling it up and down.

Overall happy with the only car (non-truck) I've ever owned. Even did well in the mountains, and snow/slush.

We bought my wife's Fit new in 2008. I have never done anything more than regular maintenance on it. Has 125,000 miles now and is still on the original brake pads and clutch!! It has always been my wifes daily driver. We took that thing everywhere, and it was the stand-in for a truck until I got the Taco in 2011. We've hauled our kayaks all over the state, strapped lumber to the roof rack, put bikes in the back, etc. It was our long haul vehicle, taking us into the mountains multiple times for hiking/camping trips, and to see our families two states away. My wife wants to keep it until it dies, which doesnt look to be anytime soon. :)
