I love the windoors option on my Leer 122, and they are not leaky in the closed position. However, I open them and it is raining, they channel the rain water straight into the shell. And, when I am sleeping inside, this gets messy, wet and cold. Sometimes I like them open for ventilation, especially to reduce inside condensation. The sliders in the windoors admit rain like any other vertical window, especially in a driving rain.
Here is what I made out of light gauge vinyl covered cable, small cable clamps, and heat-shrink wire insulation. But could be done with a piece of twine, or rope, or a long shoelace. It fastens permanently to the shell hold-down clamps, and loops around the windoor latch to keep the windoor from opening above a 85 degree angle. The window strut holds the window open, but is not allowed to extend fully.
I can stand under the windoor to work in the truck bed, but have to be careful not to stand under the outer edge of the windoor, where the water drains.

Also, after a rain, or after a truck wash, water pools in the windoor channels. Open the windoor all the way, and the water drains inside. This way you can avoid that pooled water draining into the truck bed when you open the windoor.

One of the latches on my leer(Tailgate side back hatch) is not unlatching. Any experience with this.

I have the center type latch release and just recently only the left side unlatches. The right side wont unlatch. Very strange. Yes its unlocked. I tried locking/unlocking to no avail.

I'll try and disengage it via the Right windoor. Thanks for the reply. Op, I apologize for thread jacking. I will be using your tip. Thank you.
