It was something like this that got the sewage treatment plant moved out of Yosemite.

Amazing to think it lasted as long as it did given the number of visitors. And on a similar vein, there was even some speculation restrooms led to one of the recent rock falls at Glacier Point.

    Sewage. Who knew? :)

So I'm moving to Oregon and am planning on driving through Yellowstone & Grand Teton in mid-April, will things have started to open up, or will the parks still be in winter mode?

reason the guy from Texas knows, is because last year I made a trip from Texas to Oregon. It was a flexible scheduled trip, so I did research so I can head up there and be able to visit these places and glacier national park.

Ended up going in June because that's when glacier ended up opening

Yea, I've done glacier before - similar time frame. Lucked out being there the first week the Going to the Sun road opened. Unfortunately, I don't have much time flexibility.

Some roads in Yellowstone will open starting April 15th. The road from the NW entrance/ Mammoth to Norris, Norris to Madison, Madison to Old Faithful, and Madison to West Yellowstone (west entrance) will be open. The remaining roads don't begin to open until early May.
You could visit the area but it would probably take a bit of a detour to do so. You'd have to be in MT on I90 to Livingston then head south into the park and exit at West Yellowstone and head to Idaho Falls to catch the interstate again.
The park road within Grand Teton doesn't open until May 1. You could still see most of the area by traveling Hwy 191 just outside the park between Moran Junction and Jackson, WY. And again, this would be a huge detour through mostly 2 lane highways to get here and back to a major interstate

Most of Yellowstone always opens mid April. The only roads that are delayed are the East and South entrances due to elevation/snow/avalanche danger. Glacier Park has no definite opening date.
