I'm itching to place an order for the Avid light bar for my 2015, but want to have it powder coated by them to match my Avid sliders (which were powder coated by Brandon).

However, I get a feeling that this isn't the recommended route? Does the odd shape of the light bar make it difficult to ship without it getting dinged up? I'm seeing that most guys here order it bare and then rattle can it.

Avid wraps the shit out of the products they ship with bubble wrap and cardboard to protect ends. The black PC they use is very durable and takes hits.

That being said shit happens with shipping and there is only so much that can be done to protect them. Of a problem arises always talk to Brandon first.

Personally, Im a spray paint guy and wont PC anything because my truck gets used. :)
