He has the 6 manual, not the auto that everyone seems to rave about.

It's funny. 5 years ago the first gen guys on here didn't think these trucks were built as well as theirs and wouldn't see high mileage like this. Toyota keeps on going!

Good to see these trucks can be this reliable. Just curious is qnyla running stock tire size?

@qnyla out of curiosity, did you follow the recommended maintenance schedule for filters, spark plugs, diff oil, etc...?

Nice! I'm approaching 250K on my 2000 TRD. Just recently replaced timing belt and water pump (about 190K) and a blown original radiator (about 210K). She runs as good as she ever has. Need a little suspension work on the rear end, but other than that, I'll bet I get 400+!

thank you so much for this thread.
tacoma's to me are: foremost-reliability and then - endurance.

i'm on my 3rd tacoma(3/2/11, 4x2 double cab, drl, etc).
next tacoma will be the 4runner.

Your truck is the reason I keep my Tacoma. 400k miles? That is amazing! I've never gotten a truck over 300k. My 03 ranger went 290k before the motor went. That truck had no big repairs done to it the entire time. Only normal maintenance.

Wow, I am beyond impressed. My '08 has 140K and I am amazed every day at how good it still looks and runs. Just knocked on wood!! Had it in last week for 5K service. Total cost was $61. I can't even drive my Carrera onto the dealer's lot for less than $1000. We've had a lot of cars over our lives and the Tacoma has been the most reliable and least expensive to operate by far. Knock again. Keep on truckin'!!
