Received my Mobtown tailgate protector today. (review)

I received my tailgate protector today after the amazing deal Mobtown ran. (free tail cap with the ribbed version)

I was a little concerned about the time it took to get to me, but this sale had these guys backed up. (about 2 weeks to get it to me. Nothing crazy, just not what Im used too)

Cons: The only improvement Id like to see is the tail cap overlap the tail a bit.
Pros: The product is heavy. Well made and matches the finish perfectly. Very easy to install and really adds to the heft of the tailgate.

I can now comfortably sit on my open tailgate, jump on or off it and throw whatever Im loading into the bed, tailgate first, with no fear of bending.

Suggestions: If you are considering this purchase, buy the upgraded steel nut kit. The factory plastic fasteners are junk and can barely hold the tail skin down without stripping. 3 of mine were already stripped from the factory.

I was hesitant to spend money to replace brand new factory parts. I wish I had done this sooner. Thanks guys.

 

Thanks for the write up. And sorry for the delay, it is very uncommon for us. The current sale set us back quite a bit. We literally boxed and shipped 43 of these Wednesday... Normally we ship 2 or 3 a week, not 40+ haha.
