Some more useful trans info...

I agree with Sbpark. I am experiencing the same things and I feel like the trans has grown worse with mileage not better. I'm over 6k miles now.

 

That's the feeling I'm getting. Truck started off perfectly fine but around 1400 miles the first hints started showing up.

 

The dealer told me they checked the fluid level both physically and then also checked it diagnostically (Techstream) and said it was fine. I don't want to do it myself. I have other stuff I want to do. I didn't spend $30k+ and buy an extended warranty so I'd have to buy a reader and learn how to do it myself. That's their job, not mine. Plus if I go mucking with it and somehow they find out when they hook the truck back up they can come back and say it's my fault! No thanks. i'd rather unfortunately do this by the book because my gut tells me if I do otherwise it will come back to bite me later on. Rather not give Toyota any fuel to deny a claim down the line, because I feel that it's not a matter of will the transmission have issues, rather more a matter of when.

 

I agree. $40k truck...they can get it right or I'll dump it before warranty expires and buy a different brand
