I ordered a ribbed tailgate skin from Mobtown and took advantage of their free tailgate cap deal. When the shipment arrived on Friday, it was clear that FedEx had been "less than careful" while handling the package in shipping. There was a corner of the box that was totally destroyed, packing material falling out and taped over to retain some integrity. Time to bust out the camera and start documenting. When I opened it up I was expecting a few dings or scratches but both pieces had been severely damaged, the skin ad been bent over to 90 degrees from flat in the damaged corner and the cap had been tweaked hard enough to crease it at the bend. I shot a message to Mobtown explaining the damage and offered to send some pictures. Joe from Mobtown replied back to me within an hour asking for pictures of the damage which I then sent him. He agreed that the pieces were pretty badly damaged, said he'd open a claim with FedEx and get me another order shipped asap. This morning, Joe sent me another email to let me know he filed the claim and that I should get the shipping info for my replacement parts. They've been very responsive, apologetic and helpful in dealing with this, overall, a great vendor and IMO an asset to the members here. I would definitely do business with them again.

Got my replacement skin and cap yesterday and just finished the install. FedEx still banged these ones around but nothing like the last ones. Thanks again Joe(s)!

Can you post a picture of what the tailgate looks like closed?
It seems as it there is no lip that hangs over the back of the tailgate towards the handle.

It doesn't. It goes just past the curve level with the top of the tailgate.

You know this sucks right? I have a Softopper I want to sew a magnet strip in and have it stick to the tailgate. I need that lip :(

I will get my tailgate skin from you though :)
    One of these days.

The curve of the tailgate makes it so they'd have to weld on the piece you're talking about. I think it's pretty good compromise for what it is. I have a cap that has rubbed off the paint from the top of the tailgate in a few spots, I plan on just hitting the top edge with some bedliner once it warms up a little more. Maybe something like that would fit the bill for you as well.

Relentless fab's tailgate reinforcement also curves all the way around the top of the tailgate. That's the skin and cap all together in one piece, and the fit and finish is pretty nice. You've got options.

They fit well together and powder is almost an exact match between us and KB.
