    I took it off (the frame anyway) right after buying the truck. CA law requires it. But. Look at me, running with scissors. They apparently don't even stop speeders and reckless drivers in this state anymore, and I can't recall the last time I even saw a CHP unit, so...

    I had two roundhead allen screws in there, but the heads began rusting, so I pulled them out during this work and when I washed off the front end.

    I will be drilling out the holes further and putting in a couple color matched plastic button caps. @ryanjboutin did this using a company who sells them to order ($25), but I realized I can get them same thing from Lowe's (about $1) and paint them myself since I already bought fancy color match paint.
