Mine is installed, I think, after a 3 hour struggle to find an ignition fuse in the engine bay. (I ended up drawing the blue line through the firewall and tapping into IGN there. Seems dumb, but it works!)

Cross posting this from WHYDTYTT cuz I thought you guys might be interested :)

I was looking at the Blue Sea fuse box when I found this one from Bussmann. It uses the mini blade fuses same as the Tacoma and has a sealed top. You also have the option to use mini relays, micro relays, and mini circuit breakers. Tall or short cover if you just want the mini fuses (20 circuits). Only about $60 for the one on Amazon but there are so many options that it might be best to do a group buy in order to get a distributor interested. It looks like Waytek has them for about $72 when you take in to account the minimum order quantities.

    Switch Pro just arrived.

holy hell this thing is nice! I think I may stray from the flush mount idea tho guys.. :anonymous:

I'm used to having my wireless remote to control my lightbar.. its nice having it in my hand sometimes on the trail so I can quickly toggle off and on as well as toggle the strobe features. I like how the Switch Pro feels in my hand when holding it vertically like a remote. Im thinking I may add some velcro to the center console where I would flush mount it, and on the back side of the switch pro, making it removable for myself or maybe my passenger, etc.

Im in the same boat you are man. I've got a rats nest of wire under the hood and I'm still planning. Trying to get labels made, protective sleeving, wire tie locations, etc, etc. Trying my best to do a clean electrical build.

@Moose1988 I plan on mounting the Switch Pro on the factory fuse box cover as well. Is it sturdy and are there any issues with mounting it this way? Did you use the screws that came with the kit or did you have to source other hardware?

No issues besides it being a small PITA to check/change fuses. But how often do you do that.

I grabbed some self taping screws I had laying around. Mounted it all, then sealed the under side to prevent water from entering the fuse box.

Yup the only thing I'll be powering is my fridge for now. Maybe when this CVT group buy finally finishes I will be powering the tent as well (lights, fan, phones). The tent plug will be running on its own switch and the refrigerator will be on a separate switch just to be safe.

I'm thinking about leaving the control head loose and just placing it in the cubby. I like the idea of being able to move it around or place it in the center console. We'll see!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly where I want it. It's currently attached with velcro over the clock. I want it within easy reach and in easy view while driving.
