Map lights not working.

So I've had my Tacoma for about 4 months now. When I first bought it I noticed the map lights didn't come on with the doors opened. I Google Drive it and then learned about the switch on the dome lights. Set it to door and the map lights still do not come on. Anyone have any ideas or know how to solve this issue?

 

The map lights are not supposed to come on when the doors are opened. They do come on when you press them.

 

Are you serious? That seems like a complete waste. My Gmail map lights and dome light came on with the doors open or unlocked.

 

Yeah only the dome lights come on when set to door mode. Maps are only on when clicked on.
