I dont consider this a build, just a document of the parts Ive added to my 2014 Yamaha FZ-09. Hopefully Ill keep it longer than the past 7 bikes in 5 years.

Day 1. Bought with 0.1 miles on it.

First mod, fender eliminator. This is the best picture I have of it:

Then came some CoreMoto stainless steel braided brakes and Akrapovic Carbon full exhaust:

Somewhere in riding, took this picture:

I think I rode like that for most of a season. I also added a Power Commander V and K&N air filter, but no pictures of those.

    Then a large group ride:

I decided to chase after a friend on a Panigale 1199, that had much more experience than me.. Ran into an issue with a muddy/rocky hill, gravel in the middle of the road, and me and my inexperience.. Just a broken water pump cover, mirror, and some scratches

I think here, I decided to get some CRG bar end mirrors,Woodcraft frame sliders, and Mad Hornet shorty levers.

Then it was smooth sailing for a few months.

Met up with some friends at a wings place, and decided to root for the wrong team during the US soccer game ( I dont follow sports, so unsure of the official name. But it was a final championship or something). Came out to find this:
    F2D3E1B8-2597-483D-96FA-BED4860D800B_zps_517b03400b20d6c0f4e5a738e743e717d0b4ac7d.jpg

Scratched my beautiful exhaust. I decided I needed another one. Ordered the Titanium Akrapovic exhaust from Italy.

Havent done much else yet. Still undecided on what my next moves are with this bike.. Keep it and do some more mods? Or sell it, and try something else? Its just about paid off, so I'll see. the next few pictures will just be random pictures throughout the past 1.75 years..

Nice bike. I like the exhaust. I've had the same bike since I bought it back in 2004. It's a Honda cbr1000rr

Thanks! Its been hard for me to keep a bike for more than a year. And of course Ive had other bikes in addition to the FZ, but then got bored, and sold them after a couple months. Things have slowed down now, though

ordered TST Industries flushmount smoked LED signals for the front, on recommendation from @AR15xAR10.
I will report back with my impression of them

I think you asked me why i wanted to get rid of the hyperflash?

Because the signals don't get full power to light up all the way when they are flashing that fast. Now that the rate is back to stock, these LED signals are bright as shit!

I think you'll like them, and TST has been great to work with so far

Yea, sold it to a friend. I recommend it. It's extremely light. Maybe 5lbs for the whole thing. The Titanium one I have now is heavier

@CanisLupus inspiring all of us to clean up something. I might detail detail my dirty girl tomorrow. In the 110 degree heat index.

She desperately needs a chain clean and lube. And probably a spray down. Any ideas on cleaning flat black plastic?

don't worry, karma will get me again.

I had to wash mine again today because someone left dog shit in the center of one of my local trails and it encased itself all over my front tire, front fender, header, frame, skidplate, headlight, swing arm, rear tire, rear inner fender, license plate, and brake light. smelled absolutely horrible.

I coated the whole bike in about a quart of simple green from a spray bottle and washed away all the big chunks with the hose.

some light usage of a thin silicone product might be necessary if waterspots persist on anything plastic.
