Well, I'm very embarrassed to admit it, but this whole situation was my dumb @$$ fault. Apparently, while messing with the settings, I did change something critical...I changed from Gallons US to Gallons Imperial. A little math lead me to the solution and then I found the setting that I screwed up in the General settings. I have no idea how I made that change, I know I looked in just about every menu but I was fairly certain I didn't change anything. Anyway, I thought I'd post that I found the solution to my mistake in case it would help someone else in the future.

Now, please excuse me while I go wipe this egg off of my stupid face...

Whenever I'm calculating MPG's, I fill the tank until I can visually see the fuel inside the filler neck. I never use the manual pump shutoff because of the inconsistency. Then after I've ran it all out, I fill the tank up again until I can visually see the fuel inside the filler neck. Voila!

Glenn--The setting was under the General Settings, I don't recall the exact option but it in General. Hope that helps.

    Two possible problems:

    1) If you overfill the tank, fluid may get into your carbon filter (the filter that is supposed to prevent gas fumes from reaching the environment). A few fills of that nature may cause a Check Engine Light to appear.

    2) Using a match, candle or open flame to determine the fuel level in the filler neck may lead to unanticipated results. :bananadead: (grin).

[Re: #2 ... yea, I meant that as a joke ... but, I have seen enough folks refueling their vehicle while lighting a cigarette to make me wonder about the intelligence of some drivers. Observing the driving habits of other drivers tends to confirm at least some of my suspicions.]
