I've been using the red Mobil 1 grease on my gen2 drive shaft and its running empty.
Time to buy a new grease tube.

    Which grease is best?

A slippery one should work. I use that blue/green shit on my tractor, truck, zero-turn, ATV....

I don't believe quality of the grease matters , its how often you flush the universal joints that count .
I do a grease flush at every oil change

Read what Spicer has to say about greasing your driveline

One does have to be careful of the type but as long as your buying at a autoparts store you should be fine.

My self I have been using Wolf`s Head brand a local company here in Pa.

I have been using this grease for 20 plus years

I use Valvoline Crimson grease. It's red so it's easy to see it come out when you're pumping new grease into the u-joint.
