Installed a Pop & Lock power tailgate lock, but it's not working properly. The actuator doesn't engage the lock completely so the tailgate can still be opened. It tries to lock, but only goes halfway so when I pull the tailgate handle, it pops back to the unlock position. I sent Pop & Lock a message; hopefully they've got a solution.

Here's a video I made of what it's doing. I push lever at the end to show where the lever should be when properly locked:

Did you tape it off or take the whole bumper off?

I installed my radar detector to the GoPro mount. I have a Beltronics GX65, I had to be a little creative with mounting, I bent up the original little suction cup mount to mount into the GoPro mount arm I got, but it looks good. I have a blendmount from my old 4Runner, but I don't think Ill need it now. I also reused the mute button on the hardwire smart cord that I made to fit in a switch blank for my old 4Runner. I am not sure I like the mute button location, but it was my only switch blank, and the only one the same size as the old 4Runner. I may make a new one out of one of a blank that would fit with the switches under the console, and remove my Qi button or Parking sensor button, I don't have an Qi chargeable phone, and have a backup camera, so don't see ever using those.

Because this bracket slides into the radar detector and inside the GoPro mount arm, you don't see the little bracket when it is installed, so it doesn't matter that it looks like crap.

I followed a youtube video and it had the wires backwards. When I flipped the wires it worked. Check to see if thats your issue as well.

Did you have the same problem? I used the YouTube video for my install as well.

The way I see it, is it's working, but not pushing the lever all the way to lock it completely. I'll give it a shot tomorrow and see what happens.

Ok, you had a different problem then. Another member said he installed his just like the video and it worked fine.

Mine unlocks fine, but doesn't lock completely. In my vid, the actuator only moves the lever halfway so it doesn't lock completely. At the end of the video where I push the lever with my finger, that is the lock position.
