    Hey everyone,
2013 Supercharged V6 Double Cab 4x4 throwing the above codes! I ran up to Advanced real quick before they closed (2100) and was able to get the above codes. Now what tipped me off was the check engine light (CEL) came on with "TRAC OFF" light.

I made sure gas cap was tight and just filled it up. Read the P0420 code could cause that.

Any help? I work close to 70 miles away. It drives fine. Would it be alright to drive it to work so I can hit a dealership on my way home? There are no local Toyota dealerships in my county.

Appreciate any and all input. My truck is under warranty until like 100,000 miles too.

    Cheers

Read that thread, it didn't give me much. Mine also has CEL which is dissimilar to the OP in that thread. Well wish me luck on my drive tomorrow lol

The CEL is on because of the P0420 code.
Apparently, the P1604 is to be ignored.

I'm at Toyota of Tampa Bay to be diagnosed. Apparently when the truck was a baby (4xxx miles), there was CEL but no mention of what it was. There has been nothing since...

    Over and out.

Actually you don't need the extended warranty as the Cat Converter is under Federal Emissions Warranty until 80K Miles.

So I had them reset CEL, which had been on for like 2 days. After resetting, came back. Then, about 12hrs later my CEL is gone. Is that normal?

I feel like it should have stayed on if there was legitimately a problem.

    Cheers

If the light turned off, the concern has "corrected" its self.

It turned back on and stayed on. I just got back from the shop, after they replaced some stuff. I'm not sure exactly what stuff was replaced. I see on my replacement list this:

    17173 - 31040 Gasket, Exhaust M
    90080 - 43036 Gasket, Exhaust P
    17140 - 0P230 Manifold Assy, Ex
    90917 - 06083 Gasket, Exhaust P

I only see one new part, that kind of looks new. Maybe that was it...

Also, I bought the truck used and it had an aftermarket air/fuel ratio gauge. Well when replacing the cat converter, the sensor for it that was welded on broke off. Do I need that gauge for anything? I never really messed with it too much. In fact, it took space in a little storage cubby in the center console thing. Oh well. Let me know.

    Thanks for your time

The catalytic converter was replaced due to the P0420 code. That's the new part you see.

The air/ fuel ratio gauge serves no purpose to a lay person.
You're not running a modified engine, so it's useless.
