    Too poor to list anything interesting.
    When I bought my tires, the guy at the shop said they had the E-load in stock and would install them at the same price. Or I could wait for the C-load. I waited, but it was great they made the offer.

    Prorating is typically by treadwear, which may not have been much in OP's case. The shop probably figured they could resell the tires without too much trouble. The other alternative would have been to revise the invoice and refund OP the difference between C and E tires.
