What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Is anyone else running Kumho Road Venture AT51's? They were on my truck with I bought it "used" (with a whopping 1,400 miles on it. Still got my lifetime warranty though). I guessing they aren't from the factory.

 

Does anyone know of any alternatives to powder coating that I could do to my step bars? I'm waiting on a replacement set through a warranty claim, and was looking to powder coat them to prevent this from happening again, but as quoted $150 per bar to powder coat them. For that much I could buy another set!

Is there something other than powder coating I could do to protect the paint / prevent chipping and rust??

 

They were already installed when I bought it. I guess it's a dealer item that runs about 100 bucks. The dealer added 180 bucks to the trucks price for them but I talked them down 2gs so I guess I got them thrown into the deal. I will post pics for you today.

 

Line x, Herculiner, or some other spray based protection.

I just realized the other day that your truck doesn't have flares on it. Would it just not work with the wrap?

Is anyone uncomfortable in their seat? I seriously have lower back pain driving for more than 20 minutes. Never experienced this before getting the new taco

That's incorrect. If a cop is shooting with KA K or X band the radar will pick up from up to 1 miles. If they're shooting with laser, as long as they're scanning other cars ahead of you it'll also read it.

What do I do today? Install PIAA light bar with 4 Hella lights. Bar does not properly fit 2016 model and had to cut and weld bracket, but not too difficult but not a bolt on mod by any means. Lights all wired to SPOD. Now I'll set up my lounge chair and some tanning oil, sit in front of the truck with lights on until Wisconsin winter ends....

 

I drove my 2016 3+ hours the first day I got it and was just fine
