Hey guys, I am pretty sure I haven't seen a thread on this yet (at least in 3rd gen), so sry if it has been talked about.

So my dad apparently got his wheels (GMC) stolen this morning (even with wheel locks), and I don't have wheel locks on my truck either, so now we both need wheel locks. Obviously, factory wheel locks and even those that you buy at the auto store are useless, since almost anyone can get a key to them, so I was wondering:

    A) what is the size and thread of the 2016 tacoma lugs.
    B) what are the best Wheel Locks?

I believe the lugs are 19 mm, same as the U-bolts. Can anyone confirm? I'm new here.

If the wheels got stolen, even with wheel locks; I'm not certain I'd be willing to invest more money in the technology.

Not to mention the potential problems surrounding losing the key, or more specifically, the key vanishing while at the tire shop.

Remember, locks keep honest people honest. Criminals will always find a way to commit crimes.

Oh I know... I am not investing in factory locks nor ones that you can easily find at any store ... But some really good aftermarket ones where is is either harder for people to get a replacement key, or are much harder to take off without the key.

From what I've been told, don't waste your money. If the jerks want them, they'll get em.

They have a tool for every lock.

Do you need to know, or care?
Only way to fully protect them is to weld them on, but that could lead to some potential other problems.
