31x10.5 tires on 15x6 stock wheels ???

06 Tacoma SR5, 2WD, 4cyl, 2.7L, 5 Lug, 5 speed manual

I have 15"x 6" width stock wheels and I want to put new 31"x10.5" tires on a 3" lift I'm gonna put on the truck.

According to Tirerack and other wheel/tire places they say you need at least 15x7 in rims. I really don't want to get new rims. I like the stock ones plus i don't have the money right now. I do though, want my truck to look taller with that lift and bigger tires.

I want to know if anyone has this combination of wheels and tires or knows someone that does and what is you feedback/opinion?
