I am lifting my truck 2.75"F and 1.75"R and I am planning to put some 31"x10.5"R15 on my 2006 Tacoma SR5 2WD (5 lug) stock rims/wheels that are 6" diameter.

I already know that I shouldn't have a problem with the 31" height with the lift I'm putting. But my concern is the 10.5" width of the tire on the 6" width of the wheel. I've done some research but it's kinda useless because most guys that are talking about this have 7-8" width rims with 10.5"s.

My rims are stock and little I guess. So if you have the same sizes as my truck, let me know how did it work out for you. Is it gonna be to tight for the tire? Is it gonna affect the durability of the tire and the thread worn? Should I go for the 9.5"s instead? Let me know! Thanks!

Look up the tire on tirerack.com, you can check the tire specs and see what the minimum rim width is to mount the tire. 6" seems too small, my guess is the specs will say at least 7".

I know it's possible but i want to know if it's not that big of a deal or do many people have done it without any serious consequences. Thanks!
