So I ordered some Method Standards (17x8.5) from Discount Tire wrapped in Cooper Discovery AT/3's (265/70/17) and discovered hat the center caps do not fit my 2015 Sport DCLB. Called Discount Tire and they were very helpful Since I called on Saturday, they told me they would reach out to Method and call me on Monday. Lo and behold, I got a call from Discount Tire and they told me Method was aware of the issue with that specific center cap and were working on a fix. I should have my updated center caps in a couple of weeks.

For now I mounted the wheels without center caps and will decide on adding the new caps when they come in.

Not sure what impact this has on the collective, just thought I'd share.

Any update on your situation? I received my new methods yesterday and ran into the same problem with the center caps on my 4runner. Many have used these wheels and caps in the past with no issue and it makes me wonder if they changed the design of the caps recently.

Funny you should ask..... DiscountTire left me a message the other day saying the new caps were shipped nd I should have them in a few days. They arrived yesterday. Haven't had a chance to install them - was at a concert last night..... Will try to get them on over the weekend and will post back results.

I would call whoever your got the rims from - or Method Direct. Discount Tire was awesome in fixing my issue.... hopefully the new caps fit!

I think I'm going to just contact method direct and eliminate a middle person. Did the caps ship from method direct or discount tire? If you can, when you get around to installing see if you can notice a difference.

The caps showed up in a Method box and still had the shipping label (covered) to Discount Tire. DT did all the legwork and then it looks like they shipped to me as soon as the caps hit their warehouse. Overall pleased with the customer service and didn't really think there was a delay using the middle man approach. They told me 3 weeks and delivered in 2 - no cost at all. They were also good with follow up.

I'll post back results of the new cap install and let you know. I may get to it tonight........

Put the rear caps on tonight. They are tight, but they fit. Way better than the first ones..... Those weren't even close. Would have done the front but weather rolled in and I was in the driveway. I'll finish up tomorrow morning and post a pic.

I actually got in contact with Method and he assured me that even though it was a tight fit they will fit, and if I broke any they would send me replacements. What I ended up doing was putting the cap in the wheel and getting the wheel on the studs and pulled it in using the lug nuts. Everything seems good.

I did the same with my replacements but there was NO WAY I was doing that with the originals. Glad it worked out!
