15 out of 100 people on thus particular forum. Plenty of people only join because they have a problem or question, while lots of perfectly satisfied people never bother wasting time on the forum. That just means there is quiet possibly a higher concentration of unsatisfied owners who gravitate to forums than you would find in the real world. Also, this is why the polls can be consistent when it's the same people voting over and over again in all the forum polls. My point being that these forum polls are hardly what would be considered statistically robust. Take them with a grain of salt.

    Impossible.
Everything I read on Internet is true ! and that's coming from someone who took 2 stats classes in college! These polls are 99.967% accurate within +/- 1%....

Now let's start a thread of who would have gone to a MT instead on the second time around!!

I definitely would. But I might wait for a quicksand next time - saw one in the wild and that color is fantastic.

Scientific fact. Random sample surveys performed in Brazil and Uruguay have been published in peer reviewed journals. Most undoubtedly.

Hell yeah I'd buy it again! Nothing but GREAT things to say about my 16' over my 11' that I traded it. It was either a 16' Tundra or a Tacoma.

I feel like some people are looking So hard to find things wrong with the new Tacoma. If everyone new there would be so many problems (not really) why did they buy one? They do have some minor bugs but what automotive manufacturer doesn't. Go to Edmunds & search any car/truck made by any manufacturer & you will find people complaining about anything & everything!

Is there a perfect transmission? No but some are better than others. Mine seems to only get better with more miles. I do not think the Tacoma is truly broke in till ten thousand miles. How many people have ten thousand miles on there Tacoma?

I love my 16, but if I went back I would buy a 1st gen. I just love not having car payment, plus there's already an abundance of parts/mods.

I would do it again. No new model is flaw free, but the Tacomas have a database that is awesome (and depressing). Once the u-bolts, u-joints, and ATF were all taken care of, I enjoy this truck. After break-in ~1000 miles, it's a slick rig

I would buy the same truck again. Nobody else offers a double cab in MT in Canada, so it was either a 15 or a 16 MT Taco. So far I haven't experienced any of the issues mentioned, and I have about 3600 km on mine. As I said someplace else earlier, the manual is sweet, butter smooth, and 6 gears are awesome.

I would do more research and them make my decision based on the complied information. The truck is overall great, but Toyota needs to rectify the automatic transmission fluid level issue.

So far mine has worked flawlessly. It's blows away any truck I have ever owned (have owned 5 others).

My first Tacoma but sadly I wouldn't do it again. There are things I love about it but the automatic tranny is annoyingly shift happy and drives me crazy. I would have opted for the manual but my wife can't drive a stick. I drove the truck first 200 miles and felt something wasn't right..took it back and it was down 1 quart of tranny fluid. Gonna take it back again but from what I have read here it could be normal and if it is I'm stuck with a $35000 truck I don't feel thrilled to drive as I SHOULD! I drive up a slight incline to get on the highway and it shifts 3 times in about four seconds? Up down up again? I'm obviously annoyed a bit... I hope there is a fix. It has about 1200 miles on it now and nothing has changed. I did put it in S mode and seemed great with me manually shifting an automatic but that just ain't cutting it for me...sorry about the lengthy NO folks but needed to vent before I talk to dealer :(
