Thought there should be a thread just for people with the ToyTec BOSS lift kits to share pics, installs, ideas, ask for help, and all that stuff so its all in one place. I hopefully will be installing my lift this weekend and will post some pics when complete. Feel free to post your install pics, ask questions, and just discuss the boss lift in general. (no, i am not affiliated at all with ToyTec)

I am about to order this. Looks like a safe bet for a noob like me. Number one requirement for me is the truck feels solid on the choppy highway we travel. Can't wait to find out how your truck rides after peppinoss! Did you opt for AAL or block for the rear?

I got the AAL, the ride is suppose to be much better than with a block

Ok I think I will go AAL too. Called Toytec and they said it's preferable, and I can't find anyone here saying they should have put blocks instead of AAL. I just didn't want the ride to end up too stiff....
My dealership who is willing install the Boss kit for me when the truck arrives (don't have it yet) says blocks are better because he finds AAL tends to sag over time and more labour to install.
But I am inclined to follow advice from Toytec and others here.

How does the tow package get effected with the AAL?

Well, I just spent all day trying to adjust my coilovers in the front to get a little more lift, but failed. Wheels off, jack up onto jack stands, breaker bar, the whole deal. Fail! What a HUGE pain in the ass! The collars are NOT easy to turn. I even soaked them in PB Blaster and WD40 and still nothing. I only managed to get about 2 full turns which only gained me 1 new thread, thats about 1/16". I was looking adjust them 1/4" to get 1/2" more lift. F it! I'm taking it to a shop and having someone else do it! Have any of you guys adjusted yours post install?

FINALLY got my coilovers adjusted. WD40 for the win! You really have to soak the hell out of them with WD for them to want to move.

So here is the ToyTec Boss 2.0 set at the full 3" of lift (2" over stock). Love it!

I have the Boss lift with 2.5 coilovers. Had to put a pipe on the spanner wrench to turn them but it worked, got full 2" over stock height in front. Used a complete new leaf pack for the rear and got 2 1/4" over stock in back. I would imagine they will settle a bit over time but looks good and rides great. Used Light Racing UCA's to set the alignment myself. Eventually it will go to the shop for a full alignment but all feels good so far. No issues, no noises, no lights no gripes. Also used the 3 degree shims in the rear along with carrier bearing drop. Front Differential drop in front with RCI skid plate to cover everything. No vibes. Toytec gets a thumbs up from me. If the sun ever shines here I will get a picture to post of finished product. The trucks posted so far look great.

How much did you have to adjust the coilovers to achieve the full 2" of lift?

The come from the factory set at 2.5" of lift, so i adjusted the coilovers 1/4" to get the extra 1/2" of lift to reach 3".

How is the ride quality and did it change any by preloading the coils more? Do you have aftermarket uca's and did you go with the resis in back? Sorry for all of the questions I'm just trying to decide about if I want to go with the Toytec kit or ICON.
