I just purchased a 2012 tacoma prerunner. The factory radio has been replaced with a pioneer head unit. The radio controls on the steering wheel don't work all the time. They do however work randomly. My usb/ aux port or the bluetooth on the steering wheel arent working either. Any clue what the problem could be

I set some radio stations. That's about it so far.
My uneducated guess is that the connection between the head unit and the steering wheel controls is suspect. Either the connector is loose or however they are joined is bad.
