    Hey guys,

Just trying to get all acquainted with the forum as I've been lurking for a few days now. I used to drive a 2005 Acura TL slammed/modded and all that fun stuff. However, Jersey winters have got me frustrated so I decided to buy a 2g Taco as they have been my favorite truck since I was a kid (that and the FJ). Anyways, glad to meet yall. Any crucial mods/service I should be looking into before I drown in debt?

Oh yes, how foolish of me. Got the v6 4x4. Was playing around in some dirt today. I guess the general consensus is use 4hi off-road and with snow, never on dry. I was such a noob and was playing around with 4hi on dry pavement, when I noticed the car was kinda stuttering on a tight turn. I immediately straightened out and switched to 2hi and did incessant research lol. Nevertheless here are some pics

Nice rig...Welcome to TW. I bought a 09 Prerunner last year, the previous owner took good care of her, according to the Tacoma Owners website all service was performed at the dealer every 5k miles. I still have spent the last 10 months swapping out all of the fluids and the air and cabin air filter. I still have the differential and coolant/anti freeze to do but will probably get to that this month. I suggest you plan on swapping out the fluids, most of this you can do yourself so it's not terribly expensive. Check out the technical chat thread on the board and of course if you have any questions just ask. There are a lot of smart folks on TW, most likely will be more than happy to help.
