Hello Tacoma World. I am Michael, please meet my 2010 Barcelona Red Toycoma TRD 4x4. We live in Austin, Texas and have been together 6 years. I purchased her in Pennsylvania in 2010 - she had 10,000 miles on the clock. Red wouldn't have been my first choice, but the color I wanted was gone, so I chose her. The color has really grown on me and I love the Barcelona color, it's not so bright as to be distracting, and has a beautiful depth to it. I find my self admiring her often.

We've participated in multiple road trips and driven to 13 states together and 13 national parks. She's seen snow and ice, beaches, high altitude (12,000+ ft), hail storms, forests, canyons, extreme Texas summer heat and mountains.

She's had two major surgeries, including having a u-joint blow out causing the rear driveshaft to dislocate. And a fuel level sensor malfunction, which led to the discovery of a timing cover leak. Both repairs were covered under warranty by the dealer.

As of 4.4.16 Mods Include :
Jason Camper Shell - it's got windoors! and Thule aerobars came with it!
    Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 235/75/16
URD fuel pump upgrade - w/o filter
Redline hood struts (still waiting for these in the mail)
Debadged - she doesn't need name tags, she knows who she is.
Removed most of the jump seats and center console in the back with the intention to sound deaden and add a dog/storage platform

Here are some of our adventures, mishaps, and other BS. (lots of photos)

A bit o'dust. Toyota's newest color, Dust White Pearl Barca Red.

    Inverse of above:

An exact fit - The wheelie bump stop hit the wheel pretty much as the sign kissed the tailgate. Also, notice the sign cleared the bumper. I got out only to find there was a sign post I didn't see, and no damage to either truck or sign post.

Really bad luck for a butterfly. That's taco's antenna, and a dead butterfly it caught while we were driving. I figure that's a 1 in a million chance right there, of unluckiness, coincidence and a perfect strike.

Tacoma Ghillie Suit Mod: Bet you didn't even seen the Tacoma in this photo, did you?

Spreading her wings. A bit dirty from the road trip to Colorado. Also, some new meat on her bones - Goodyear Wrangler 235/70/16's. An inch taller than stock, but don't rub because of how narrow they are.

BOOBS, because we're both really 13 year old boys at heart.

That time we tried to get over the hump in Utah, but we got stuck. She said she tried her best and that she was sorry. I told her it was ok and that I was proud of her for trying and then bailed her out with the bottle jack.

...I think the bottle jack got the raw end of that deal. The bottom right corner used to be flat. Quick re-cap - the cross member that supports the transmission was resting on the slick rock, supporting the weight of the truck. Even though the wheels were touching the ground, we couldn't move. I used the jack to lift the truck, giving clearance between the frame and the slick rock. With the remaining 3 wheels on the ground, I drove off the jack in reverse. Problem solved.

This is the bracket (not sure what it's called) that connects the rear driveshaft to the transfer case. Notice the bottom right, that used to be perfectly circular, and contained the U-joint and driveshaft. Instead it has a U-shaped chunk missing, where the U-joint blew it out.

Frozen little pop sickle. Cold night that night, down in the low single digits.

Down in what used to be the lake, last spring.

    That's all for now!
